This Week's Tasting: June 26, 2018

Every week at Dairymaids we select six cheeses to include in our free cheese tasting.
Whenever we are open, we are tasting cheese.
We stock over 150!

OG Kristal is an aged gouda made from Holstein and Brown Swiss cow's milk. Aged for 18 months by Kaasboerderij 'T Groendal in West Flander, Belgium. The dense, creamy paste is studded throughout with crystals and the cheese has notes of boozy cherries, fudge, and butterscotch.

Also on our tasting plate this week:

Humboldt Fog Pepper Remix, a soft-ripened goat's milk cheese with a line of chilies, curry, and harissa pressed through the center from Cypress Grove in California.

Sawtooth, a raw cow's milk washed-rind cheese from the Cascadia Creamery in Washington.

Latte Da Pepperjack, an aged goat's milk cheese with red pepper flakes from the Latte Da Dairy in Flower Mound, Texas.

Griffin, a raw cow's milk cheese with beer washed into the curds from the Sweet Grass Dairy in Georgia.

Dunbarton Blue, a cow's milk cheddar and blue cheese hybrid from Roelli Cheese in Wisconsin.

Our wine of the week is a Rosé of Pinot Noir from Sokol Blosser Vineyards in Oregon. We taste wine from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.

Our pairing of the week is Jalapeño Pepper Jelly from American Spoon in Michigan.
