This Week's Tasting: April 30, 2019

Every week at Dairymaids we select six cheeses to include in our free cheese tasting.
Whenever we are open, we are tasting cheese.
We stock over 150!

Our featured cheese this week is Blackstone, the first mixed-milk cheese from California's Bellwether Farms. It's smooth, tangy, slightly sweet paste is studded with whole black peppercorns, and the natural rind is rubbed with a mixture of pepper, rosemary, and vegetable ash for a cheese that looks as wonderful as it tastes! Come by and try Blackstone this weekend!

Other cheeses on our tasting plate this week:

Trillium, a triple-creme Brie-style cheese from Tulip Tree Creamery in Indiana.

Oma, a creamy, savory washed-rind from Jasper Hill Cellars in Vermont.

Üsi Minnie, a smooth, pleasantly complex Alpine-style cheese from Switzerland.

Sparkenhoe Red Leicester, a firm, flavor-packed farmhouse cheese from Warwickshire, UK.

West West Blue, a spicy, earthy Gorgonzola-style cheese from Parish Hill Creamery in Vermont.

Our wine of the week is And Why Am I Mr. Pink from Underground Wine Project in MassachusettsWe taste wine from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.

We will also be sampling American Spoon's delicious Apple & Onion Jam.
