This Week's Tasting: August 9, 2019

Every week at Dairymaids we select six cheeses to include in our free cheese tasting.
Whenever we are open, we are tasting cheese.
We stock over 150!

Grannet di Capra is made from the milk of goat's grazing in the hills of Lombardy, Italy. Aged in Gildo Formaggi's historic natural caves it has a rustic rind. The paste is firm and flavorful with slight crystallization and nutty, earthy notes with a hint of sweetness.

Other cheeses on our tasting plate this week:

Red Hawk, a triple-cream washed-rind cheese from the Cowgirl Creamery in California.

Marinated Sheep & Goat's Cheese, a fresh cheese marinated in olive oil with fresh herbs and garlic from the Meredith Dairy in Australia.

Tomme de Hood, a raw cow's milk tomme-style from the Eagle Mountain Dairy in Lapin, Texas.

Kirkham's Mature Lancashire, a raw cow's milk cheese made in the Lancashire style from Graham Kirkham in the United Kingdom.

Caveman Blue, a cave-aged blue cheese made with organic cow's milk from the Rogue Creamery in Oregon.

Our wine of the week is Olema, a Rosé from Cotes de Provence in France. We taste wine from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.

We will also be sampling Red Raspberry Butter from American Spoon in Michigan.
