This Week's Tasting: February 21, 2020

Every week at Dairymaids we select six cheeses to include in our free cheese tasting.
Whenever we are open, we are tasting cheese.
We stock over 150!

Landaff is a raw cow's milk cheese made at the Landaff Creamery in New Hampshire and aged in the Cellars at Jasper Hill in Vermont. Based on a traditional Caerphilly recipe, the cheese is subtle and buttery with bright, lemony flavors.

Other cheeses on our tasting plate this week:

Devil's Gulch, a double-cream Brie coated in sweet and spicy red pepper flakes from the Cowgirl Creamery in California.

Scamorza, a smoked mozzarella from the Mozzarella Company in Dallas, Texas.

Ombra, an aged sheep's milk cheese with a natural rind from Spain.

Challerhocker, a Alpine-style made with raw cow's milk from  Switzerland.

Red Rock, a Wisonconsin-style cheddar pierced with blue mold from Roelli Cheese in Wisconsin.

Our wine of the week is a Grüner Veltliner from Lens Moser in Austria. We taste wine from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.

We're also sampling Spiced Marionberry Fruit Spread from Mt. Hope Farms in Oregon.
