This Week's Tasting: June 28, 2019

Every week at Dairymaids we select six cheeses to include in our free cheese tasting.
Whenever we are open, we are tasting cheese.
We stock over 150!

This week's featured cheese is Baby Blue, from Chrissy Omo of CKC Farms in Blanco, Texas. A delicate, young blue made with goat's milk, Baby blue softens as it ages to a luxurious, creamy texture.

Other cheeses on our tasting plate this week:

Trillium, a triple cream Brie from the Tulip Tree Creamery in Indiana.

Hafod, a clothbound cheddar made with raw cow's milk at the Holden Farm in Wales.

Monroe, a cow's milk, washed-rind cheese from Roth Kase in Monroe, Wisconsin.

Castelrosso, a cow's milk cheese made with lactic fermentation from the Rosso Family in Piemonte, Italy.

Tarentaise, a raw cow's milk cheese made in the Alpine style from the Spring Brook Farms in Vermont.

Our wine of the week is the 2018 Rosé from the Teutonic Wine Company in Portland, Oregon. We taste wine from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.

We will also be sampling Apricot Jam from American Spoon in Michigan.
