This Week's Tasting: March 5, 2019


Every week at Dairymaids we select six cheeses to include in our free cheese tasting.
Whenever we are open, we are tasting cheese. 
We stock over 150!

Pure Luck is back! After a long wait, kidding season is over and the Pure Luck Dairy is back in production. Stop by this weekend to try their fresh chevre. It was named the best chevre in America by the American Cheese Society in 2018.

Also on our tasting plate this week:

Cascina Capra, a natural-rinded goat's milk semi-firm from Italy.

Hafod, a clothbound cheddar from the Holden Farm in Wales.

Red Hawk, a triple-cream washed-rind cheese from the Cowgirl Creamery in California.

1655 Gruyere, a traditional, raw cow's milk Gruyere from Switzerland.

Glacier Blue, a raw cow's milk blue with a natural rind from the Cascadia Creamery in Washington.

 Our wine of the week is Barbera, an Italian red wine from Cantina de Casteggio. We taste wine from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.

We're also sampling Sour Cherry Preserves from American Spoon in Michigan.
