This Week's Tasting: May 10, 2019
Every week at Dairymaids we select six cheeses to include in our free cheese tasting.
Whenever we are open, we are tasting cheese. We stock over 150!
Tiny Blossom is a raw milk mountain cheese beautifully coated with herbs and flowers. The base cheese is called KiloKaesle and comes from Sennerei Sibratsgfäll Co-Operative Dairy in Austria. Aged 3-5 months, this adorable truckle is smooth with a sweet finish. A great way to give Mom flowers!
Other cheeses on our tasting plate this week:
Mt. Tam, the signature triple-creme Brie-style cheese from the Cowgirl Creamery in California.
June's Joy, Pure Luck Dairy's fresh goat cheese blended with local honey, pepper & thyme.
Manos de Dios, a raw milk Texas cheese from Revelation Artisan Dairy rubbed with Spanish Pimentón.
St. Malachi Reserve, award-winning aged Gouda-style from Pennsylvania's Farm at Doe Run.
Harbourne Blue, yogurt-y, smooth goat's milk blue from Tickelmore Dairy in the UK.
Our wine of the week is Sokol Blosser's Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir from Dundee Hills, Oregon. We taste wine from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
We will also be sampling with Houston-made Garden Dreams Strawberry Balsamic Jam.
